CANCELLED - Embroidery Basics - STABILIZERS and HOOPING and DESIGN PLACEMENT Techniques
ATTENTION Embroiderers!!
Are you confused about all the different stabilizers on the market; not sure which to use where and when? Is hooping a project a headache and a half? Do you have trouble getting the design aligned exactly where you want it on the project? Are towels and quilts and ribbons and bags problems to hoop and embroider? Is all of it enough to want to tear your hair out? AARRGGHHH!!!
Maybe some of those problems can be solved. In this class learn....
- All about stabilizers and fabric preparations.
- Hoop types, hooping techniques, how to hoop and handle towels, onesies, knit shirts, delicate fabrics, quilts, bags and more. Bring your most challenging hooping issues and we will tackle them in this class.
- Techniques to get the design precisely aligned on your project.
- Troubleshooting … why things go wrong and how to make them go right.
- Tools you need to elevate your mood and eliminate frustrations. (Other than a glass of wine and a piece of chocolate, that is. )
This class is lecture, demo and some hands-on. We will not be doing actual embroidery in class but we will practice hooping techniques and techniques for aligning designs to the project. So you will bring an embroidery hoop, minimum size 130 x 180mm (5” x 7”); maximum size 260x200mm (8" x 10").
Note: We will not be taking a lunch break but do feel free to bring something to munch on during class.
