Applique Basics on the Sewing Machine
Learn how to do raw edge and turned edge applique on the sewing machine and jazz it up with some decorative stitches. Fun, fun. Once you've mastered the basic techniques you won't be able to stay away from the sewing machine. Maybe you've seen all those cute little applique designs meant for embroidery machines. Well, you can do them, too, on your little ole' sewing machine and have fun doing it!!
There will be no class project; we will just be learning and practicing techniques in the class. The dresden plate quilt block shown is just for inspiration.
All materials will be provided. You just need to bring your sewing machine. Must have at least a zigzag stitch; a few decorative stitches would be even better.
Class instructor: Susan Nelson. Questions about the class? Contact Susan at debonair2@bellsouth.net or cell phone, 704-674-4391.
