SFTW-092022: EMBROIDERY SOFTWARE - September 2, 2022 - Fun with Digitizing Part 1 Working with Lines and Fills
Join me in exploring mySewnet and Premier+2 embroidery software. This is a combination in-store and virtual class. If you plan to attend in person, be sure to sign up for the IN-STORE class. If you plan to attend remotely, be sure to sign up for the VIRTUAL class. Must have a basic familiarity with getting around in the software; this is not an introductory class.
TOPIC - Fun with Digitizing Part 1 . . .Refresher for some people. New information for others.
Two-part lesson. Sign up next month for Part 2.
Class Description:
Digitizing can be quick and easy, or complex and contemplative. It’s often an art-form, with each addition of a new embroidery object seeming to direct the flow of your design as it emerges from the software window. Users often asked questions about specific techniques, and using the tools for designing those techniques, include designing with Motif Lines for Appliqué or for Redwork, working with Fill Areas to design holes for open areas in the fill, or designing with Specialty Fills such as Motif Fills.
Software level required: mySewnet PLATINUM or Premier+2 ULTRA.
Must have a basic familiarity with getting around in the software; this is not an introductory class. If you have questions about this, please contact Susan at debonair2@bellsouth.net
PC vs MAC
I will be demonstrating using mySewnet software, PC version, so if you are using Premier+2, PC version your screens may look a bit different than mine, but the lesson does apply to the Premier+2 software also. The lesson applies, too, to the MAC version of the software but you need to know how to get around in the MAC software version.
Class Preparation for In-Store attendance: software loaded on a laptop computer to bring to class and updated to the most recent version. Plan to use a MOUSE. Even if you are proficient using the thumb pad, I have found it to be inefficient to use in the software during class.
Class Preparation for Virtual attendance: A ZOOM link will be emailed to the Virtual attendees 24-48 hours before the class. Plan to log on 15-20 minutes before class to check your audio and video. Note that I cannot help with ZOOM technical problems. During the class, once the lesson has started, please plan to keep your microphone muted unless you are speaking.
