This class builds on skills learned in the Learn to Quilt 1 class, aka LQ1, which is the required prerequisite for this class. If you have not taken LQ1, please do so. It is scheduled several times during the year.
In Learn to Quilt 2, aka LQ2, we will tackle some trickier piecing techniques as we create 3 blocks. One block features square-in-a-square, half-square-triangles and flying geese using flippy-corners construction. A second block will feature sewing curves and the third block will be a LeMoyne star featuring Y-seams and bringing pieces together in an aligned center. The three blocks will be put together On-Point to create a table runner. We will make the quilt sandwich, quilt with free motion quilting, bind the project and add a label. The class project is the table runner shown. See the actual table runner at the store. Instructions, templates and batting for the table runner are included in the class fee.
There will be homework. Some sewing is done in class but much of the sewing will be done at home.

In class you will be given a USB drive that contains all of the class handouts in pdf file format: instructions, reference materials and 'slide shows' of various steps in making the quilt top. The USB does not replace your coming to class. Printed 'class copies' of the handouts will be available in class, for use in class. So you need not bring your own copies to class.
