Each month a different technique. Fun way to learn and practice different piecing and quilting techniques. All are Quilt-As-You-Go blocks. Each quilted block will finish 12” square. Quilted blocks can be combined to create a quilt such as the 9-block quilt shown below, or to create table runners. Placemats, tote bags and pillows are other ways to use the blocks. Great opportunity to learn different piecing and quilting techniques while having some fun and camaraderie doing it.
Nov - Raw Edge Applique by Machine shown above.
Applique shapes are cut from adhesive-backed fabric and fused to a background fabric. The raw edges are covered with satin stitches, pin (aka blanket) stitches or other decorative stitches. More decorative stitches can be used for embellishment.
