FREE VIDEO - Sewing a Blindhem on a Sewing Machine

A blindhem is a hem that is virtually invisible on the front side, or outside, of the project. On the outside of the project, just tiny single stitches are visible. It is usually sewn by hand but can be sewn by machine. In the photo shown above, the stitches are a bit long, but can be adjusted smaller to be less visible.
Although this video was made using a very basic mechanical sewing machine, the method is applicable to virtually ALL sewing machines, regardless of make or model. Most machine manufacturers make a 'blind hem' presser foot, which may or may not look like the foot in the video, but the stitch can be sewn using the general purpose foot that comes with all machines. If sewn with a general purpose foot, there is no guide for the fabric and you must just 'eye ball it'. Happy Stitching.
