Quilted Fabric Shoes

Join instructor Tiffany Harwood to make a pair of these fun shoes.  You will need 3 Fat Quarters, and an 18”x 22” piece of Fusible Foam (Bosal fusible is Tiffany’s favorite for the shoes, but Pellon Flex Foam or similar work.)   2 fat quarters and the foam will be quilted before class and the third fat quarter will be used for the trim.  An email with quilting instructions will be sent, with a supply list, to each student.  This class has received rave reviews from some of our customers!!

A Sneaker Kit is included in the cost of the class.  It contains shoe soles, pattern, wax thread, needle, grommets and shoelaces.  The shoe tops are sewn to the shoe soles by hand but a sewing machine is needed in class for finishing the exposed edges of the shoes.

Email your SHOE SIZE to Tiffany at least 3 weeks prior to the class date, i.e., before July 12^th, so the correct size shoe soles can be ordered for you.  Soles are in European sizes, but if only US sizes are known, Tiffany can look up the correct size.  Email your shoe size to "Tiffany Harwood" kzquiltr@gmail.com

Class Date and Time:  This is a one day, all day class on Friday, August 1, 2025 from 10:00 to 5:00 at the Charlotte Sewing Center
Total Class Cost: $100.  This includes the class fee of $40 + the Sneaker Kit Fee of $60.00 (Kit includes Sneaker Kit Soles, pattern, wax thread, needle, grommets and shoelaces.)

Pre-work: Quilt together 2 fat quarters and the foam stabilizer.  You will receive an email from Tiffany with quilting instructions.

Additional supplies needed  You will get an email with the complete list of additional supplies needed.  These are examples: Sewing Machine with quilting guide (walking foot optional), Thimble, Scissors (both fabric and paper ones), Clips and Pins, Stiletto, Pen or marking tool that will show up on your fabric, Thread to match the coordinating fabric.

Class Size - Minimum class size is 5 people; maximum is 10 people.  Get a friend to sign up with you and have fun making the shoes together.

Lunch – This is an all-day class without a formal lunch break.  So do plan to bring a brown bag lunch and a beverage. 

Cancellations - Note, too, that if you find you must cancel the class, the $60 kit fee is non-refundable.  The $40 class fee can be refunded in full if cancellation is more than 7 days before the class date.
