BabyLock Solaris 2 New Features
This class will explore some of the key new features of the SOLARIS 2 (over the original Solaris). These features are also in the UPGRADE KITS 1 and 2 that turn the original Solaris into a SOLARIS 2. Among the new features to be explored in this class are:
Yarn Couching
Enhanced Border Function
End Point Specification using the new stickers
New Decorative Fills and the Automatic Decorative Fill feature
Re-ordering the stitch-out sequence
Shape Creation
Using a new Built In embroidery design to explore
- Color Visualizer with Favorites
- Built-in Camera for Placement
We will use the new 10 5/8” x 16” (272x408 mm) Hoop and also will use the 9 ½” x 14” (240x360 mm) hoop.
To explore these features we'll make a sewing machine cover, as shown in the photo, as a class project. Another cover is on display at the store.
This is a hands-on, all-day class and you will bring your machine to class. Class will meet for 3 consecutive days with instruction from 9:00 am to 2:00 pm each day. Sewing time is extended up to 6 pm each day to get the stitch-outs completed and ready for the next day's class. Plan to bring a brown bag lunch and beverage or to pop out to a near by fast-food restaurant and bring something back to eat in the classroom.
You will provide your own supplies for the class.
