Skill Level - BEGINNER

Babylock Serger Basics 2 explains all the knobs, dials, levers, and markings on the machine and explores the set-ups for, and ways to use, the Chain and Cover stitches. Learn what kinds of threads and techniques can be used to create decorative effects. Learn about hems and seams and embellishments.  Put in zippers, sew elastic, make pintucks, cover cording and much more, all with your serger. 

This is a 5-hour, hands-on NOTEBOOK class. You will learn and practice the techniques on fabric swatches and create a Samples Notebook for future reference. 

Class Materials and Supplies
All materials except regular serger thread will be provided and is included in the class fee. You will bring your Babylock serger , all of the accessories for the machine and 4 cones of regular serger thread; each thread cone is to be a different color. If you have a foot kit or optionally purchased feet, bring those to class also. You will not be required to use any optional feet in the class but some optional feet may be discussed and demonstrated.  Bring general sewing supplies - pins, scissors, extra needles, tweezers, tape measure, seam ripper, etc.  You will also want a thick 3-ring binder in which to store the samples you make in class.

8-thread serger models: Accolade, Triumph, Ovation, Evolution, Euphoria
